The Idea Fair is a novel initiative to be introduced as one of the events during the 2017 edition of the Lagos Model United Nations Conference. In addition to the display of diplomatic and oratory skills by the delegates during the conference, this year’s conference seeks to engage the entrepreneurial, Problem-solving and creative minds of the delegates by requiring them to proffer solutions to issues of both national and international concern through pragmatic, sustainable and entrepreneurial projects.
LMUN 2017 will welcome over 1200 youth delegates and participants from all over the world, with overwhelming potential to contribute to social change, development and sustainability in their respective localities. The rationale for this project is to tap into the creativity and ingenuity of young minds towards addressing these issues and increasing the rate of youth involvement in the elimination of common problems.
Based on the theme, the focus of LMUN Idea Fair would be centered on the innovative ideas of delegates to be reflected in their projects, whilst addressing the issues that have been raised and incentivizing the process by providing root fund to kick start implementation of ideas.
To participate peruse the Idea fair rules of participation (Click here to download) for more information.
The LMUN conference spans through a 3 day period in order to maximize the opportunity provided by this conference, the secretariat has opted to include something novel, exciting and crucial to our delegates. The career fair however, this is not a conventional career fair.
The secretariat will be inviting representatives from renowned higher learning institutions, nationally and internationally for an exposition on their schools. Delegates will be given the opportunity to converse and communicate with these school representatives, make inquiries of any sort pertaining to the schools. Delegates can derive information such as scholarship opportunities, extracurricular activities, and research environments and so on.
This is a great way for individuals to plan for the future, especially for those seeking to pursue their post-graduate studies. It would be especially fun and educating for all who attend.
